Reports To: Manager of Managed Services
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST with on-call rotation (1 week every 6 weeks)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Managed Services Engineer to serve as a technical leader within our support organization. This role is reserved for an engineer who combines deep technical expertise with exceptional client service skills. You will be responsible for managing the most complex client environments, serving as the escalation point for Tier 2/3 issues, and providing strategic technical guidance to both clients and junior team members. Beyond troubleshooting, you will proactively optimize client environments, implement strategic improvements, and ensure the highest levels of system reliability and performance. This role requires someone who doesn't just solve problems, but anticipates and prevents them.

- Role coverage: Provide the role-specific coverage required for 🟢 Green — SENIOR MANAGED SERVICES ENGINEER.
- Tooling: Use role-appropriate tools such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, Excel or Google Sheets, Teams or Zoom, SharePoint, and role-appropriate reporting or workflow tools.
- Define the technical design: Specify components, interfaces, data flows, security, deployment boundaries, and technology decisions.
- Design interfaces and contracts: Document schemas, validation, authentication, authorization, errors, versioning, and integration behavior.
- Implement assigned components: Build maintainable application, service, integration, infrastructure, or automation work.
- Create automated verification: Add unit, integration, contract, security, and regression tests with repeatable test data.
- Prepare deployment and rollback: Document configuration, migrations, pipelines, release steps, health checks, and recovery actions.
- Complete technical handover: Deliver design records, review evidence, technical documentation, runbooks, and known limitations.
- Review project scope and source materials: Review the opportunity scope, source posting, supporting documents, deadlines, addenda, and client requirements that affect the assigned role.
- Confirm role requirements and dependencies: Identify required inputs, assumptions, constraints, interfaces, decisions, acceptance criteria, and dependencies before beginning assigned work.
- Coordinate project delivery: Work with FuntoNetwork and related consultants to align responsibilities, handoffs, schedules, escalations, and client-facing outputs.
- Prepare assigned deliverables: Produce complete role-specific analysis, documentation, recommendations, configurations, estimates, or technical materials required for the engagement.
- Communicate with stakeholders: Provide clear updates, raise risks and questions promptly, document decisions, and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Support quality and readiness: Participate in reviews, resolve comments, maintain status information, and confirm assigned work is accurate, traceable, and ready for delivery.
