Position: IT Support Engineer – Client‑Dedicated
Department: IT Infrastructure & Managed Services
Location: New York, NY (Onsite – Financial District)
Type: Contract, Full‑Time (40+ hours/week)
Reports To: IT Support Manager (FuntoNetwork) / Client IT Director (dotted line)
Tech Stack: Windows Server, Active Directory, Nutanix AHV, PowerShell, Networking (DHCP/DNS/Firewall), Prowatch/Genetec (nice to have)
Regional Strategy: Eastern USA Financial Services Corridor – New York Metro
This role is part of FuntoNetworks strategic expansion of dedicated onsite engineering teams supporting our premier enterprise clients. We are placing a seasoned IT Support Engineer directly at a leading financial services institution in Lower Manhattan. The New York Metro area represents the densest concentration of financial markets, regulatory infrastructure, and global headquarters in the Eastern USA. By embedding our talent onsite, we deliver white‑glove infrastructure support, rapid incident response, and proactive system optimisation that aligns perfectly with our clients mission‑critical operations.
Location Requirement:
Core Responsibilities
- Configure service intake: Define channels, categories, priorities, required fields, routing, SLAs, and closure rules.
- Build the support knowledge base: Document environment details, troubleshooting trees, known errors, standard fixes, and contacts.
- Triage and restore service: Capture symptoms, assess impact, diagnose issues, apply approved fixes, and communicate status.
- Manage escalations and vendors: Package evidence, engage resolver teams, track ownership, validate restoration, and close the loop.
- Maintain service records: Document actions, resolutions, assets, user confirmation, follow-up needs, and knowledge updates.
- Analyze recurring incidents: Report trends, SLA performance, repeat failures, root causes, and preventive actions.
- Review project scope and source materials: Review the opportunity scope, source posting, supporting documents, deadlines, addenda, and client requirements that affect the assigned role.
- Confirm role requirements and dependencies: Identify required inputs, assumptions, constraints, interfaces, decisions, acceptance criteria, and dependencies before beginning assigned work.
- Coordinate project delivery: Work with FuntoNetwork and related consultants to align responsibilities, handoffs, schedules, escalations, and client-facing outputs.
- Prepare assigned deliverables: Produce complete role-specific analysis, documentation, recommendations, configurations, estimates, or technical materials required for the engagement.
- Communicate with stakeholders: Provide clear updates, raise risks and questions promptly, document decisions, and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Support quality and readiness: Participate in reviews, resolve comments, maintain status information, and confirm assigned work is accurate, traceable, and ready for delivery.
