Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Automation QA Engineer to lead the design, development, and execution of automated testing solutions for enterprise-level web applications, APIs, and databases. You will be responsible for creating reliable, maintainable automation frameworks and test suites, while also providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior QA staff. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Selenium and Python, a strong understanding of Agile/Scrum processes, and a passion for building tools and strategies that elevate product quality. A key focus will be on leveraging AI-enabled tools and techniques to dramatically speed up test creation, execution, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Role coverage: Provide the role-specific coverage required for 🟢 Green — Sr Automation QA (Selenium + Python).
• Tooling: Use role-appropriate tools such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, Excel or Google Sheets, Teams or Zoom, SharePoint, and role-appropriate reporting or workflow tools.
• Develop the test strategy: Define scope, levels, environments, data, tools, responsibilities, entry criteria, and exit criteria.
• Build test scenarios: Create functional, integration, regression, accessibility, security, and negative-path cases.
• Prepare environments and data: Validate accounts, configurations, interfaces, datasets, dependencies, and reset procedures.
• Execute and evidence testing: Record steps, expected results, actual results, screenshots, logs, and requirement traceability.
• Manage the defect lifecycle: Reproduce, classify, prioritize, assign, retest, and close defects with evidence.
• Certify release readiness: Summarize coverage, unresolved risks, defect disposition, approvals, and launch recommendation.
• Review project scope and source materials: Review the opportunity scope, source posting, supporting documents, deadlines, addenda, and client requirements that affect the assigned role.
• Confirm role requirements and dependencies: Identify required inputs, assumptions, constraints, interfaces, decisions, acceptance criteria, and dependencies before beginning assigned work.
• Coordinate project delivery: Work with FuntoNetwork and related consultants to align responsibilities, handoffs, schedules, escalations, and client-facing outputs.
• Prepare assigned deliverables: Produce complete role-specific analysis, documentation, recommendations, configurations, estimates, or technical materials required for the engagement.
• Communicate with stakeholders: Provide clear updates, raise risks and questions promptly, document decisions, and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Support quality and readiness: Participate in reviews, resolve comments, maintain status information, and confirm assigned work is accurate, traceable, and ready for delivery.
